A one-button wireless mouse. It requires 2 "AA"
batteries for power. Battery life last a reasonable time and there
is an on-off switch that will help in prolonging battery life.
I have used this mouse daily for months and use it
instead of the trackpad on my PowerBook G4. I like it, although it
is more expensive than similar devices on the market. It comes with
an installation CD and installing it was quite easy.
It does fit my hand well. Since this is a one-button
mouse, it can easily used by left-handed people. It is nice and
smooth - there are no rough edges on this mouse. I do like the feel
of this mouse better than the "traditional" two-button mice found
on most PCs. Single-clicking is done easily by pressing down on the
front of the mouse.
Apple claims a range of 30 feet for connectivity. Although I
have not tested it to that limit, it will stay connected at least
10 feet away from my PowerBook. Battery life may be an issue if
used daily for long periods. I will turn the mouse off when I leave
my computer to prolong battery life. With Bluetooth preferences set
to "discoverable," re-connecting is as easy as switching on the
mouse and clicking. There is also a low battery warning that alerts
the user to replace the batteries. Since there is no cable, it
takes up less room in my computer travel bag. It travels easy and
makes using the PowerBook much easier, either on the road or at
home.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product, especially
if your primary Mac is a laptop, even though it is more expensive
than other comparable devices on the market.
