Then, August Flassig will turn our attention to the App Store, and we’ll learn about some of the great applications available out there. If you think your iPhone or iPod Touch is just about games, think again!

We’ll run some performance analysis tests before and after installing memory, and also discuss where to buy and how to install your memory upgrade. In addition, we’ll have a special raffle that you won’t want to miss!
We are considering the Community Center for our permanent meeting location, and would like your feedback. Please try your best to attend this great meeting so you can tell us what you think!

September Bento/Freeware/Shareware Meeting
Thank you to August Flassig and everybody who attended our September meeting on Bento and Freeware/Shareware. We had a great night at the Independence Regional Library, and learned great ways to use Bento, as well has several wonderful freeware and shareware applications that are hidden jewels. CACC’s first Mac Learning Day at the South County Regional Library was a great success. Thank you to everybody who stopped by for “hands-on” learning, to all the volunteers who helped us answer questions and provide help, and especially to Ron Gibbs for suggesting this great idea to us! Come Out for Mac Learning Day!
Mac Learning Day is all about “hands-on” learning. Bring your laptop or gather ‘round the many that will be in use. Ask questions and get answers or help.Mac 101, iLife, Photoshop, Google searches, networking, Gmail, software for backing up, Quicken, purchasing and installing hardware for the Mac... These are just a few of the area of expert support that will be available.
Drop by on Saturday, September 6 any time between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for fun, learning, and sharing. We will be in the Community Room on the first floor of the South County Regional Library on Rea Road.
Learning Day is free, but donations are graciously appreciated.

Our August meeting was not just educational, it was lots of fun! Juan Valencia presented this great topic to us, and kept us in stitches the entire night. He covered different Web creation applications, including iWeb and Dreamweaver, and also discussed registering a domain name, finding hosting, uploading files, and more. We had a great June meeting on the switch to HDTV and iMovie. Thank you to everybody who braved the strong storms to join us, and to August Flassig for the great presentation.As mentioned, June was our last meeting at the Scottish Rite Temple, which will become the headquarters for Meals on Wheels. Thank you to Mike Harding and all the Masons who warmly welcomed us at their facility for the past several months.
